We are a group of residential green building professionals and appraisers based in the Pacific Northwest  concerned with the accurate recording of value in areas where a consumer preference for green building has been identified.

Our Mission

To ensure through education and support services to the real estate lending, sales, development and valuation industries the accurate recording of value for green and energy efficient new homes and retrofits.

We collaborate with organizations pursuing market transformation of residential building practices in the Americas by:

• bringing stakeholders together to develop and implement strategies to recognize value for green and energy efficient homes in their region
• developing and instructing market specific continuing education curriculum for the real estate sales and valuation professional
• developing peer reviewed case studies for the valuation community
• disseminating accurate market data and valuation opinions

Partnerships

• SEEC LLC is a partner in Green Agent Essentials (GAE), along with O’Brien & Co and GreenWorks Realty who were the original developers of the course. As the administrative partner, SEEC handles course bookings, curriculum upgrades and should be contacted if a green building organization wishes to discuss an adaptation of GAE for their program or region.

• SEEC LLC was recently approved as a research team partner under WSU Extension Energy Program for the Building Industry Rearch Alliance (BIRA)  team within the U.S. Department of Energy’s Building America program.  WSU leads BIRA’s efforts in the Pacific NW.  DOE’s Building America program is a public/private partnership now comprising (as of July 2010) of fifteen new research and deployment teams that will deliver innovative energy efficiency strategies to the residential market and work to make high-performance homes within reach for all Americans.
